SUMMER EVENTS AT THE WOOD
Lift access to Kirkwood's Mountain Bike Park is open on Saturdays (10am to 4pm) and Sundays (10am to 3pm) as well as select holiday or special event days. For other events and great times at Kirkwood this summer, check out the events calendar below.
JULY
7.31.10 10th Annual Wildflower Festival featuring live music by The Kingtones!
Celebrate ten spectacular years of food, wine, and wildflowers at Kirkwood! Live music by The Kingtones, wine tasting, and local artisans showcasing their work make this a longtime favorite at our resort. Laird Blackwell will be leading two guided hikes during the day as well. Tasting tickets are $20 for adults over 21 and include a commemorative glass for this year's event. A BBQ will be available on the Plaza for additional cost to those searching for lunch options during the festival.

AUGUST
8.1.10 Community Clean Up Day
Help us keep Kirkwood beautiful. Meet on the Plaza at 9:30am to pick up your bag and gloves, then head out for a hike while you collect pieces of trash. Volunteers enjoy a free BBQ lunch at 12pm!
8.14.10 Passholder Party
Had a pass this winter? Or maybe you've already picked one up for the upcoming season? Join us for a passholder party on the Plaza and in our bike park on Saturday August 14 and find out why summer at Kirkwood ROCKS! Simply bring your pass or current photo ID to the summer HQ and you'll receive two adult mountain bike park tickets for the price of one! If you have a summer 2010 mountain bike pass, stop by and we'll give you a free buddy ticket for one of your pals! There will be plenty of other events throughout the day as well, check back here again soon for the full scoop.
8.20 - 8.29.10 Fat Tire Fiesta
10 days of mountain biking at Kirkwood couldn't get any better than this. Join us for a full blown festival featuring a variety of races and clinics perfectly suited for all mountain bike enthusiasts. Saturday night Bike-In Movies showcase the latest adventure films. SEPTEMBER
9.4.10 Thin Air Chili Cookoff featuring Mick Martin & The Blues Rockers!
Toast the end of another great summer at Kirkwood with us as we host the annual Thin Air Chili Cookoff on Saturday September 4. World famous blues band, Mick Martin & The Blues Rockers will join us for the Chili Cookoff this year providing live music throughout the afternoon!
Chili chefs from around Northern California are welcome to compete for the cash prize and can register to compete by calling 209.258.7516. Entry is free - simply meet our minimum chili requirements to join in the fun. Breweries and wineries interested in showcasing their product for tasting can also call 209.258.7516 to secure booth space.
