About National Forest Foundation / Tahoe Fund
Vail Resorts has partnered with the National Forest Foundation, Mountain Trails, and the Tahoe Fund to support projects that improve and enhance the iconic landscapes that surround our resorts. And, we’re offering guests an easy way to join us in caring for these spectacular places – you can voluntarily contribute $1 per pass purchase to help protect Colorado’s forests, Park City's trails, and Lake Tahoe. If you would prefer not to contribute, please check the box below and we will gladly remove the donation from your purchase.
Vail Resorts and the National Forest Foundation, the non-profit arm of the U.S. Forest Service, have partnered to raise $2 million for local conservation projects that improve and enhance the forests in and around our resorts. Thanks to donations that are matched by the NFF, we’ve helped 26 local non-profits complete 46 projects that build trails, improve wildlife habitat and improve the overall health of our forests. With continued guest support, Vail Resorts and the NFF will be able to continue of protecting our local forests. For more information on the NFF visit www.NationalForests.org
In Park City?
Mountain Trails Foundation was established in 1992 at a time when Park City had only a few hand-cut trails all of which were on private lands. Now in its 20th year, it has been helping to advocate for non-motorized trails and the healthy lifestyle they promote, with nearly 400 miles of trail currently online in the Park City area and more to come in the future. The foundation works with local and private groups to expand the areas trail system — a network that remains the only trail system in the country to be named a Gold Ride Center by the International Mountain Bicycling Association. The Mountain Trails Foundation derives most of its income from its race series and donations. To learn more or find out how you can become involved, visit the group’s website, www.MountainTrails.org.
Heavenly Mountain Resort and Northstar Resort have partnered with The Tahoe Fund, a organization committed to supporting important recreation, conservation and education projects in the Lake Tahoe basin. Through a voluntary $1 guest donation, we can help the Tahoe Fund with bike trails, public parks, restoration projects, interpretive programs, and other amenities that people use and enjoy at the Lake.
