Guest Services staff work together to promote a friendly atmosphere and provide our guests with accurate information, empathetic problem solving, and a “can do” attitude that meets or exceeds expectations. Guest Services staffs the Administrative front desk on weekends, the Guest services Information Desk, Ski & Board check, Lost and Found, and event registration and ticket selling.
Responsibilities and duties include overseeing our locker systems, setting up and tearing down of flags daily, collecting information from our suggestion boxes, conducting resort wide surveys, and distributing flyers, snow reports, event collateral and the Kirkwood times.
Resort Hosts/Hostesses: These are the people who greet the guests as they enter the resort. They provide staff for the guest services desk, the lost and found, and ski & board checks. They are responsible for providing accurate information and collateral, resolving locker issues, and working with supervisors and managers to resolve guest issues.
Front Desk/Snow Reporter: The front desk/snow reporter is responsible for getting up early and going to work every morning at 5am to get the Daily Ski Report done. Some other responsibilities include answering the phones, general office duties, and communicating general breaking information, such as closed roads or the amount of snowfall, to guests and other employees.
“Hot Shots”:Our “Hot Shots” are staff with superior communication skills, the interest and (a) technical skill set(s) to help relieve operational overflow on peak days. These people are recruited as part-timers.
