NEW FOR 2010
Challenge yourself this summer on the all new Sentinels Trail - an advanced climb and technical descent traversing through the area known as Palisades Bowl during the ski season as the trail winds it's way to the top of the ridgeline beyond Martin Point. For those seeking the ultimate adventure, pedal along the ridgeline to connect with Horse Canyon or Thunder Mountain trail for a steep scream-your-face-off descent bringing you down the backside of the resort towards Silver Lake and Highway 88 at the Carson Spur.
Please note: Sentinels Trail is not accessed via chairlift, so it is a pure cross country ride. Shuttle services are not provided from Silver Lake or Highway 88 at the Carson Spur so plan to set up a shuttle system with a buddy.
Riders in search of a scenic route through the areas off Chair 5 should try the all new Robey Wolfe trail. Brand new for 2010, this route is a low intermediate cross country ride without chairlift access and serves as a great introduction to cross country pedaling for those new to the sport.
MIDWEEK RIDING
Although the lifts are not operating midweek, we invite you to check out our trails via cross country access. Bike rentals are available through the General Store Monday through Friday at full or half day rates.
RENTAL FLEET BY KONA BIKES
Kirkwood is the proud home of a Kona Bike Park, which includes a full fleet of rentals from Kona mountain bikes. Check out the all new Kona Stab for 2010 - a great bike for those looking to challenge themselves on technical descents and terrain features. The Stinky, Dawg, and Minxy return yet again this year with sizes for adults and kids.
