Using a comfortable environment and specialized equipment, you will quicly learn the skills and techniques needed to Learn to Ski. State-of-the-art teaching tactics and exceptional beginner terrain offer a winning combination. in your first lesson you will learn how to use your equipment, get on and off the chairlift and use wedge turns to control your speed and stop or your next lesson is on us! Packages include equipment rental, two hour lesson and a limited lift ticket (valid on Chairs 7 and 9 Only).
LEVEL 2 - 6 SKI LESSONS
For those who already know how to ski, this is the package for you. Our Level 2-4 Lessons are for comfortable beginners (green circles) looking to improve their turns and progress to intermediate terrain while remaining consistent and in control. Our Level 5-6 lessons are for intermediate skiers who are comfortable in the fall line and want to get more proficient, matching their skis and learning the techniques to get you to the next level. Packages include equipment rental, two hour* lesson and a full mountain lift ticket.
*Lessons with one or two guests are considered a semi private and only go for an hour.

BURTON LEARN TO RIDE CENTER
Kirkwood and Burton have teamed up to bring you one of Tahoe’s most progressive Learn To Ride Centers. Always a leader in the industry, Burton partnered with the American Association of Snowboard Instructors (AASI) to create the fundamentals of the Learn To Ride Program. Accelerating learning and minimizing falls are the rudiments of the program. Innovative equipment, combined with proven teaching methodology make learning to snowboard fun and easy. All of our snowboard lesson packages include Burton equipment rental, two hour lesson, and limited lift ticket valid on Chairs 7 and 9 only.
BURTON WOMEN'S LEARN TO RIDE CENTER
Forget about learning from your husband or boyfriend. Let Kirkwood's certified instructors give you the proper tools and techniques to succeed. Session includes learning how to use your equipment, getting on and off the lift without falling, executing different turn shapes, controlling speed and stopping where and when you want. All Women's LTR Packages come with Women Specific equipment designed especially for women which increases the comfort level and speeds up the learning curve. Packages include Burton equipment rental, two hour lesson and a limited lift ticket valid on Chairs 7 and 9 Only.
NEW FOR 2009! BURTON LTR FREESTYLE
Expedition:Kirkwood's newest performance clinic, the Learn the Ride Freestyle Clinic is geared toward snowboarders who want to see a whole different type of progression in their riding. Lead by Expedition's top Freestyle guides these clinics will focus on freestyle development both in the park and around the mountain.
Increase your terrain park skills and knowledge, refine park etiquette, focus on the technique, skills, and maneuvers to successfully ride in the half pipe; hit jumps with ease and learn how to successfully nail a box or rail. We will be breaking down each part of freestyle riding into the skills needed in the approach, take-off, maneuver, and landing to help provide you with a safe and successful progression.
Learn all mountain riding skills to add variety to your riding, switch maneuvers, drops, different spins and grabs, flatland maneuvers and proper equipment set up. Using the natural terrain features Kirkwood is known for; our guides will show you a different way to experience the mountain.
Riders must be comfortable on intermediate terrain. Freestyle specific boards are available for demo from our Demo Center free for clinic participants.
Clinics begin at 9:30am and run for six hours. Clinics will meet at the Expedition:Kirkwood HQ on the Village Plaza prior to start for grouping and ability splits. Clinics include lunch and all day coaching.
BURTON LEVEL 2-6 BOARDING LESSONS
For those who already know how to ride, this is the package for you. Our Level 2-4 Lessons are for comfortable beginners (Green Circles) looking to link turns consistently, explore new terrain and progress to our intermediate chair. Our Level 5-6 Lessons are for intermediate (Blue Squares) riders who are comfortable in the fall line and want to get more dynamic and move onto the next level. Our Level 5-6 Lesson Packages explore the gullies and trees off chair 7 while introducing the pipe and park as well as riding switch and working on carving. Packages include equipment rental, two hour* lesson and a full mountain lift ticket.

PARK N PIPE CLINICS
Want to safely learn the coolest tricks and jib techniques? Join our top notch coaches as they give you the skills and the 411 to becoming a more complete freestyle skier or rider. With a more progressive terrain park system than ever, Kirkwood is quickly becoming a training ground for up and coming skiers. Our coaches give you the lowdown on the safe and appropriate way to clear the tabletop, slide rails with style, or pull that new trick you have seen in the aprk and all the newest videos.

PROGRESSIONS SESSIONS FOR SNOWBOARDERS
Two hour sessions designed to help you prgoress your riding, period! Progression Sessions are designed around you. Want better park skills? Want to take your carve to the next level? Is there terrain you haven't mastered? Take one Progression Session and you will see results immediately. Our instructors also give tips on all the right gear for you. Kirkwood instructors are the best in the business. Our mountain demands it!
Sessions vary from week to week, and are based on the mountain conditions and are focused on freestyle riding both in the park and on the mountain. We do it all... carving, switchriding, powder, trees, gullies, steeps, chutes, and more. Check the Snow Report to see what the focus is for the Session of the Week.
Adult ski and board lessons meet at the Timber Creek Ski & Board School. Packages may be purchased from the Ski & Board School office at Timber Creek Village, or in advance by calling 209.258.7754.

PLEASE NOTE
Program participants are required to come equipped with appropriate attire and accessories such as water resistant pants, jacket and gloves. Glasses for sunny days and goggles/hat for snowy days.
RESERVATIONS & CANCELLATION POLICY
Reservations are highly recommended. A credit card is required to secure the booking. Reservation must be cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson start time for a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson will be charged a $50 cancellation fee.
