Mini Mountain Daycare is a California State Licensed program (Facility number: 023801764). Mini Mountain Daycare provides professional on-site care for children ages 2 to 6. Unfortunately we do not have facilities to accommodate children under 2. The center is located near Red Cliffs Lodge across from the general store.

Please note that the Mini Mountain Child Care will close for the season on Sunday, April 18.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ENROLLMENT
Children between the ages of 2 to 6 years old are eligible for enrollment. Children need not be potty trained. Children with special needs will be assessed prior to reservation or registration. Children need to be emotionally and socially ready for the daycare program. It is the policy of Mini Mountain Daycare to not discriminate against anyone on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, ancestry, belief, gender, sexual preference, national origin or language.

PROGRAM HOURS
Mini Mountain Child Care is open daily all winter from 8:30am to 4:00pm, and is open for all major holidays. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling 209.258.7274.

PROGRAM PHILOSOPHY
Our philosophy is constructed around the belief that children learn through play and interaction. The Mini Mountain Day Care provides a stimulating hands on environment with developmentally appropriate curriculum that attends to the needs of the children both individually and as a group. Children are encouraged to actively explore the environment, explore own abilities, make choices, problem solve and therefore construct their own knowledge through their experiences. The curriculum addresses all areas of a child’s development that include cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. We believe that family is the greatest influence on a child; which is why our staff works closely with each family to assess any needs in the child care setting.

NUTRITION/FOOD SERVICE

We provide highly nutritious snacks and lunches for the children. We do not provide breakfast so please make sure your child is well fed before they arrive at the center. If your child has any dietary needs please bring specialty snacks/meals.

SICK POLICY

If your child is sick he or she will NOT be admitted into the daycare. Children must be fever free without medication for 24 hours before being admitted. They must also be clear of infection and congestion. Other signs and symptoms that may exclude a child (but are not limited) from attending include: diarrhea, lethargy, changes in behavior vomiting, excessive yellow or green discharge from nose, and fever. Please understand that if your child develops any symptoms of illness while in the day care you will be asked to immediately come pick them up.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Reservations are highly recommended. A credit card is required to secure a booking. Reservations must be cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled booking for a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled booking will be charged 50% of booking price. Same day cancellations or any “no call/no shows,” including illness or weather will be charged full amount for each reservation/booking.
