Three new and improved terrain parks for 2010 provide a stellar experience for skiers and riders of every ability and a new, skier/boarder X course.
ADVENTURE LAND- BEGINNER PARK
Location: Chair 9
A first timers terrain park filled with snow features consisting of rollers, spines, and whoop-de-doos. This park is made for everyone. Whether you are a little one just getting into the sport or you are chasing your kids down the hill, this terrain park will be fun for all.
THE RIP CURL PLAYGROUND
Location: Chair 7
The Rip Curl Playground, located on Chair 7 at Timber Creek is an intermediate level terrain park consisting of jumps, boxes, and a halfpipe. Ride up Chair 7 and watch all your friends hitting the jumps and riding in the halfpipe, while you are riding the Chair. Head over to the "tea cup" and check out all the new boxes.
Continue to make laps all day long to improve your skills and a chance to win Rip Curl gear by catching the Rip Curl chair on the right day!
RIP CURL/K2 STOMPING GROUNDS
Location: Chair 5
The Stomping Grounds, our expert level park, is located on Chair 5 and hosts a collection of bigger jumps and kinked rails. We have moved the expert park to Mokelumne below Home Run. This gives us a wider trail to make more variations to the terrain park throughout the season.
SKIER/BOARDER X COURSE
Back by popular demand for 2010 – a permanent Skier/Boarder X Course! Located off of Chair 5 on Lower Lost Cabin, this course will be open all winter. Kirkwood will be holding a USASA event on this course this season.
