Just Announced - 2011-2012 Frequent Flyer - Air Bag Winter Pass

Yes we had so much fun with the USAirbag that we're getting our own!! It's on its way as we speak... A limited number of 'Frequent Flyer' Airbag Passes are now available.  Frequent Flyer Passes are valid every day of the 11/12 season (subject to weather) with no holiday restricted dates once the airbag is in operation.  You must have a valid 11/12 Kirkwood Season Pass in order to be eligible for the Frequent Flyer Pass. Lift Ticket Information

Lift tickets are available for purchase at several locations across the resort:

  • Season Pass Office: Located in the Village Plaza, open daily.
  • Timber Creek Ticket Office: Located at the Timber Creek base area, open daily. 
  • High Alpine Adventure Center: Located opposite the General Store, opening soon.

Lift Hours of Operation

Winter

Chairlifts are scheduled to operate daily from 9am - 4pm.  Operation times may vary due to weather, snow safety and other factors.  For the most up to date lift status, check our daily snow report or call our snowphone 877.KIRKWOO(D).

Summer

Chairs 1 & 2 operate on weekends providing easy access to our network of mountain bike and hiking trails. Chair 6 operates for scenic rides during some weekends and special events, details will be posted on website. Chairs operate on Saturdays from 10am - 4pm and Sundays from 10am - 3pm, however, operation times may vary due to weather. Fall 209.258.6000 for the latest lift status.

Ticket Deals You Should Know About

Pre-purchase Online to Save:  Purchase your Lift Tickets Online to save time and money! Online sales are available daily 12pm - 8am (not available 8am-12pm).

 Ticket Packs: Ski or ride from as little as $50 a day! Purchase your ticket pack online then redeem your full day lift tickets at the ticket window.  Tickets can be used any day this season and are valid for you and your buddies on the same day, or for yourself over several days of the season!

Military Discount: Military tickets are available for $53 at the resort or $48 when pre-purchased online.  You must show a valid military ID to redeem your ticket.  Online sales are available daily 12pm - 8am (not available 8am-12pm).

College Discount:  College tickets are available for $69 at the mountain OR pre-purchase online to save more! $40 Sunday - Friday (college 1 day midweek), $50 Holidays & Saturdays (college 1 day unrestriced).  Online sales are available daily 12pm - 8am (not available 8am-12pm).  Proof of college enrollment is required, you must provide a valid school ID, Photo ID and a copy of your class schedule or transcript (showing 6 credits or more) in person when redeeming e-ticket.  No refunds will be given for failure to produce proof of enrollment, but you may apply your payment toward the Adult equivalent ticket at the current rate.

Test Drive The Mountain: Decided you're coming back for more?  Upgrade your lift ticket to a Kirkwood Season Pass or Ticket Pack.  Ticket can only be upgraded on day of purchase.

Tahoe Upgrade: If you have a pass at another Tahoe basin resort you can check out Kirkwood for just $33 a day!  Purchase the Tahoe Upgrade card for $99 and ski or ride for any 3 days this season.  Must present valid pass from other resort to redeem ticket and all 3 tickets must be used by the passholder. 

Super Snow Days: Sometimes it snows so much that operations are severely limited or we just can't get anything open at all.  We are all at the mercy of Mother Nature on these days and it's nobody's fault. If you are one of those diehards that came out to ride on one of the days listed below and purchased a lift ticket, firstly thank you! Secondly, hold onto that ticket - we will honor it on another day (must be in the same season), just clip your ticket from this day, keep it in a safe place and present it to the folks at the ticket window next time you're up.

  • There have not been any Super Snow Days this 2011/12 season.
