The Cross country is now open daily from 9am - 5pm with 55 kilometers of machine groom trail with skating and snowshoe lanes. Upper trails at Schneider Camp are open to Coyote Pass, the top of the trail system. There is also 10 kilometers of easy terrain open in Kirkwood Meadow. Need new gear? Saturday Feb 25th - Join us for the Sunset Snowshoe, enjoy the colors of sunset and the alpenglow on this guided evening trek!
If you want to start your cross country adventure from the Village area, stop by Expedition Kirkwood and we'll rent you some snowshoes so you can hike across the meadow to the XC Center where they'll switch out your snowshoes for skis at no extra charge! Return at either location.
Trail Passes
Trail passes are available at the Cross Country and Snowshoe Center on Hwy 88 or at the High Alpine Adventure Center located opposite Red Cliffs Day Lodge.

Please note: the Dog Pass is valid only on select Cross Country & Snowshoe trails and is not valid for chair lift access. Additionally, it is important to note that while visiting Kirkwood all pets must be on a leash due to county and state regulations. Mutt Mitts are available in several locations around the resort for use during your time with us - please be responsible and clean up after your pet.
