The Kirkwood Inn

Built in 1864 by Zachary Kirkwood, it quickly earned a reputation for its hospitality, serving travelers and cattle ranchers. Legend has it that the Kirkwood Inn was a good place to find bootleg whiskey during the Prohibition days. Today the Kirkwood Inn retains its original log cabin design, and it is where you can find American-Western style dining along with a full service bar in a rustic theme setting. The Kirkwood Inn is located just off scenic highway 88, just east of Kirkwood Meadows Drive and is open daily during the summer for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bub's Sports Bar

This is the place to go for great happy hour specials and a family-friendly atmosphere. Kirkwood's sports bar and restaurant, across from The Lodge, specializes in all-American cuisine with casual dinners and appetizers every night of the week and lunch on weekends. Guests can watch their favorite sporting events on one of the big-screen TVs. Kids will be entertained by one of the many games including the basketball throw. Kirkwood's Off the Wall Bar & Grille is situated in the heart of the mountain village, and provides diners with spectacular views of KirkwoodÕs dramatic ridgeline from Thimble Peak to Martin Point.
