Risk Manager - Kirkwood Mountain Resort rated amongst North America's Top 10 every year by Ski Magazine for snow, variety of terrain and challenge is accepting applications for a Risk Manager. Plans, directs, and coordinates risk management, insurance, and safety programs designed to control risks and losses. Ensures compliance with State and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Cal OSHA) standards and state agencies. Analyzes and classifies risks as to frequency and potential severity, and measures financial impact of risk. Assists in the development of risk management and personnel policies in compliance with Federal, State and KMR legal requirements. Manages insurance programs such as liability, property, and workers' compensation. Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field; Associate Risk Management Certificate preferred; and three years experience in establishing and managing risk management programs; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of risk management and safety programs; including a working knowledge of insurance and loss prevention programs is required; principles of budget preparation and administration; methods and techniques of data collection, analysis and report preparation. Ability to maintain composure in emergency or crisis situations; and ability to ski, snowboard or snowshoe all levels of terrain. Valid CA Driver's License or equivalent. Ski Resort and/or Hospitality experience desirable, but not required.
Food & Beverage Director - Under general administrative direction of the General Manager/COO plans, directs and coordinates the food and beverage services for facilities and operations. Provides supervision, leadership and management of all food and beverage services; facilities and staff, while providing through management of resources consistent with budgetary guidelines. Recruits, hires, trains and directs a food and beverage staff assigned to KMR's multi-location food service operations. Defines and pursues food and beverage revenue opportunities. Develops, monitors and measures division's effectiveness in attaining goals; achieves and maintains acceptable Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). Oversees physical inventories for all F&B locations. Serves a member of the senior management team at Kirkwood. Excellent guest service, communication, leadership and administrative skills. Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in business management from four-year college or university; and six years high volume food and beverage management experience encompassing a strong business background and technical skills in purchasing, personnel management, menu planning, food preparation, group events, customer service and financial management; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid California Drivers License or equivalent. Valid ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain within two months from date of employment. Valid Alcohol beverage service permit.

FOOD & BEVERAGE
Busser - The main responsibility of the Busser is to back up the hosts/hostesses and servers by clearing table of dirty dishes and making sure the table has been thoroughly cleaned. This allows the host/hostess and servers to spend more time making sure they are providing exceptional guest service, and also increases the turn over rate. Some basic duties include clearing dirty plates, glasses, and silverware from tables and sorting them at the dish station; aide kitchen utilities person in washing, drying and putting away of the dishes, and any other activities they might need help with.Line Cook - The main function of the Line Cook is to prepare basic food dishes for restaurant guests. The Line Cook must have knowledge of and properly use kitchen equipment including but not limited to steamers, ovens, mixers, grills, and dishwashing equipment. They must be able to read and follow recipes, work independently and finish tasks in a timely manor, while maintaining cleanliness and product standards. Other responsibilities will include organizing and maintaining the store rooms and walk-in refrigerators, and other duties assigned by the Kitchen Manager. Knowledge of proper use and sharpening of cutlery is required, as well as the ability to lift 25 lbs.
Server - Servers are responsible for providing table service to guests. Some duties of a server are greeting guests, recording accurate food and beverage orders, inputting those orders into the MICROS system, delivering food to the table and providing the guest with the check in a timely manner. May have to carry a service tray occasionally, some busser duties also required during rushes. Applicants must be 21 years of age and have a current TIP Card (TIP training provided at start of season), they should have cash handling experience, and should have the ability to speak effectively to customers and up-sell drinks and specials. This person must also be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, alcohol regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. The ability to lift and/or move 50lbs. required.
HOUSEKEEPING
Housekeeper - Seeking F/T Housekeepers to clean a variety of room styles in Kirkwood's hotels and condominiums. Responsibilities will include using several different types of cleaning products to ensure cleanliness of kitchens, bathrooms and living areas of units, changing bedding, removing garbage and stocking all amenities. Qualified applicants will have the ability to work quickly and efficiantly, with previous Housekeeping experience a preference. Applicants must be trustworthy and responsible as will often work unsupervised.

Rental / Demo / Supervisor - Under the direction of the Rental Operations Manager ensures profitable operations of their store fronts within the resort including service, sales, stock levels, expense management, staffing and training. Partners frequently with the Rental Operations Manager all sales associates in enforcing company policies and procedures. Interacts and communicates on a regular basis with the Director of Retail & Rental Operations. Maintains effective corporate office business partner relationships. Establish control-related standards and procedures. Supervise to operating budgets. Hire, train, motivate, and evaluate, leads, and staff. Develop and implement training programs for all staff to ensure they are exceeding our guest service and operational expectations as well as meeting all safety requirements. Collect all rental fleet analysis and provide input to Rental Operations Manager for purchasing rental & demo gear to meet guest's needs and trends. Provide reporting and analysis to contribute to pricing and packaging decisions. Oversee and maintain all rental fleets as well as provide a viable repair operation for our guests. Work with Tickets & Mountain Sports School to develop products and procedures to maximize guest & process efficiency. Work with Rental Operations Manager to set and maintain store appearance guidelines. Coordinates all store maintenance and repair needs. Plan and pursue wholesale & reservation rental opportunities. Work with leads to ensure accuracy of Rental product set-up and procedures. Work with Rental Operations Manager to develop and implement Rental marketing strategy. Work with wholesalers/groups to ensure effective communication and procedures. Oversee daily operations of all Rental outlets, ensuring procedures and policies are set up and executed to hit high accounting standards. Execute physical inventory process- ensure all procedures and policies are in place regarding inventory management. Hit seasonal targeted inventory shortage goals. Develop and implement inventory awareness programs for all store staff. Establishes and maintains proper safety practices for guests and staff. Coordinate the KMR employee Rental programs- meeting the needs of mountain employees while maintaining expenses. 2+Years of Related Professional Experience: Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or one year related multi-store experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous multi-unit management and training experience preferred. Must work long holiday, weekend and night shifts.
Clinic Opportunities
Seeking experienced ER nurses, techs & clerks to work with board-certified ER physicians in a small 6-bed clinic, located in the Red Cliff's Lodge, seeing both employees & guests for a variety of illnesses & injuries on & off the ski slopes.
Must be friendly, outgoing & self-motivated individual who is able to work in small areas, shovel snow, multi-task & work/drive in adverse weather conditions.
RN's
Current CA license, CPR, ACLS & PALS certifications.
ER Techs
Current CPR; EMT certification preferred.
