An active west to southwesterly flow is now setting up to dominate the pattern with milder temperatures over the mountains for the forecast period. The first potent system in this setup is expected to develop snowfall overnight and and bring moderate, potentially heavy, accumulations all of Saturday and into Sunday morning, together with moderate ridge top winds. Close behind, a second system is then expected to bring lighter snowfall amounts overnight and into Monday morning.

The intensity of the pattern will then weaken somewhat for mid week and beyond, but occasional impulses between sunny periods and seasonal temperatures will be the rule all the way into the next weekend.
